Juice Cleanse Day 4

Happy Memorial Day! It’s been a great weekend. I’m on day 4 of my 5-day juice cleanse, and I feel great. I’ve started each morning with my cantaloupe-strawberry juice, then had a mean green juice for snack and dinner. Lunch has been a sweet potato juice, which I’m really enjoying:

Sweet Potato Juice

  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 or 2 tomatoes
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1/2 head of romaine

I’ve lost three pounds, but I’m sure that’s mostly water weight. More importantly, I’ve gotten over cravings. I went to the gelato shop with Rick last night and had no trouble resisting! That is unheard of for me.

My trusty Breville juicer is getting quite a work out too, and our compost bin is filling up. I do love my juicer…it is a real workhorse!
